10 am – What You Need to Begin Beekeeping – David Baker
David will explain everything that you will need to begin beekeeping. Very knowledgeable and full of important information. He teaches beginner beekeeping classes at his store. David and his wife Ashley own the beekeeping store To Bee or Not To Bee at 8280 W Coalmine Ave. Littleton 303-728-4422
11:30 am – My Beekeeping Experience with Feed the Many –┬áLisa Bailey
Lisa is in her 3rd year of beekeeping and will impart her personal experience on keeping honey bees. She works with David at To Bee or Not to Bee. Delightful personality and is on her journey to get her Master Beekeeper Certificate. Lisa manages 13 hives at the nonprofit organization Feed the Many in Littleton. She is a rising star when it comes to keeping honey bees. She will have honey for sale from her hives in Morrison.
1pm – Why Honey is So Good For Us – Ray Story of the Colorado Bee Keepers Association
The almost world famous Ray Story! will talk about our beloved honeybees and why their honey is so beneficial to us. Topics will include medical benefits of honey, how to read a label of honey, bees in religion, mythology, etc. A fun and informative class with Ray’s extensive, several decades, background with bees!
