Why commit to local food?
- HEALTH The average meal in the U.S. has traveled 1500 miles before it gets to your plate, and leafy greens lose half their nutrients in 5-7 days. Local food is fresher and more nutritious (and often tastier!)
2. FOOD SAFETY At a farmers market, you can ask farmers and ranchers how they produce your food. Small and medium-scale farmers take great care with the food they grow and raise
3. ECONOMY Buying local food strengthens our local economy. Dollars spent with local businesses circulate within the local economy 7 more times than dollars spent with companies based out-of-state.
4. LANDSCAPE The Denver metro area and the entire Front Range are being developed at a rapid pace. Buying from local farmers helps preserve farmland and open space.

After you sign up, bring your sign up form (on paper or on your phone) to Four Seasons Farmers and Artisans Market, 7043 W. 38th Ave (just east of Wheat Ridge Cyclery) to receive a $5 gift card (valid on select items with a $20 purchase at the counter at Four Seasons).
